OUR CANDIDATES

This program is open to both genders between the ages of 14 – 17. It is a 6 to 7 month program that offers weekly workshops such as Public Speaking through Toastmasters, Interview skills, Health and wellness, Etiquette, History of West Kelowna hosted by the Westbank Museum, and City Affairs with the city’s Mayor.

We also offer many more workshops such as Car Maintenance, Self Defence, Fencing, Rock Climbing and fun Socials and get togethers.

This is a competition-based program with a Speech-Talent-Fun Run Fashion Show-and Sponsor Speech night, all which will be judged by a panel of Judges. We will also be doing some volunteering in our Community as well as attending some parades!

This program ends with an Election Weekend, with the Election held on a Saturday in August, to determine our new Ambassador Team. The new Ambassador Team will spend the next year representing their city by travelling to other communities around BC (paid for by the program) and volunteering in our community. They will also get the opportunity to mentor a new group of Candidates coming into the program the following term.
